Legends Competition Team

Legends is an award winning competitive dance team that showcases the quality training our dancers get at RDA. Our competition team has a family atmosphere that provides an opportunity for those dedicated dancers who are looking for more of a challenge. In addition to their regular technique classes, these dancers will be learning competitive dances and have many more opportunities to perform in front of an audience. We believe in QUALITY training with an emphasis on PERFORMING. We pride ourselves in having well rounded dancers who are looking to IMPROVE and not “just win”. We are not only training our students to dance, but are influencing them to grow into responsible individuals who learn the importance of being accountable and how to be part of a team.
RDA is looking for good dancers who have a desire to learn new things and will support one another. With the right focus and guidance this experience can be an excellent path for dancers who want to be challenged and for those who want to continue dancing in college and/or professionally. Legends will provide them an opportunity to receive the correct training and will build their self confidence. This is a serious commitment that takes time and effort, but the rewards are many. Each time they gain a new skill, or take the stage and do their best is what it is all about.

Intensive Information: 

8 days of classes focusing on training, technique, & conditioning for dancers ages 6-18 every June. Classes are from 9-12 PM & the cost is $300 or $50/day. Age groups for the intensive are petites (6-8 yr olds), juniors (9-11 yr olds), teens (12-14 yr olds) & seniors (15-18 years olds).

 

Intensive dates for 2024 are 6/1, 6/2, 6/11, 6/12, 6/14, 6/15, 6/18 & 6/19.

Audition Information:

Auditions for the 2024-2025 Legends Competition Team will take place on June 20, 2024 from 10-11 AM for dancers ages 6-11 & from 11 AM-12:30 PM for dancers ages 12-18. Dancers should wear any black dance attire with their hair pulled up and off their face. There is no fee to audition, but dancers must attend intensives on 6/15 & 6/19 to learn the audition combos.

Parents must fill out the Google form below by June 11th in order to audition.
